Supporting the educational experience of all students

An Evening with Dacher Keltner

Transforming the Teen Experience: Nurturing Awe for Resilience In Our Time

Monday, April 15 at Gather Restaurant - 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Please join us for a community fundraiser featuring Dacher Keltner, founder of the Greater Good Science Center and Distinguished Professor of Psychology at UC Berkeley. Don't miss this unique opportunity to hear from one of the leading minds in psychology, to enjoy a night-out with fellow parents and community members, and to raise funds to support all students at Berkeley High School, Berkeley Technology Academy, and Berkeley Independent Studies (9-12).

Grab a friend and buy your tickets today for a night of delicious food, drinks donated by local businesses, entertainment by members of the Berkeley High Jazz Band, and an engaging talk to support your teens in building resilience as they manage stress and seek happiness.

Special thanks to our host, Gather Kitchen, our sponsors, North Berkeley Wealth Management, Alison Luce of the Gunderman Group and Olivero Plumbing, and to our wine donors, Gravitas Wine Marketing, The Mill Keeper, and Juliet.

The Berkeley High School Development Group (BHSDG) is an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 1991 by a group of parent volunteers to ensure the quality and excellence of Berkeley High School.

Our mission is to support and strengthen the educational experience of all Berkeley High School students, including students at Berkeley Technology Academy and Berkeley Independent Studies (9-12). BHSDG partners with the BHS administration, the Berkeley Athletic Fund, the Berkeley Public Schools Fund, and leadership from BHS small learning communities and departments to target funds efficiently.

In 2022-23, BHSDG managed almost $500,000 in donations and other revenue. With these funds, BHSDG was able to make grants to support teachers and students as they recovered from an unprecedented pandemic, including community-building, professional development, equipment, and educational enrichment opportunities.

Our ability to fund essential programs, materials, and training depends on your donations. We’re grateful for supporters like you who have already given this year and hope that you’ll consider an additional contribution.
